In addition to 800+ Society van rides given so far in 2024, we are pleased to announce that a grant has allowed us to provide additional trips valued at $6000. What a ride (no pun intended)! Society is so happy to provide this opportunity to our clients, because we know how difficult transportation has become in the St. Louis Metro area.    

We have increased the number of unique clients that are enjoying the service, and we are committed to everyone having a chance to benefit from the grant. There is no guarantee that we will be awarded this grant again in 2025, so we want to stretch it through the end of the year if possible.    

For the second half of 2024, we will provide you rides by:   
Calling Rose for transportation – 314.301.7396. If she and Debbie can accommodate you, a trip will be scheduled. If they are booked, we will try to schedule through a volunteer driver.    
Note: Our internal transportation is partially funded through a completely different grant. That’s why we would appreciate a small contribution of $5.00 one way or $10.00 roundtrip from our clients who ride with Roseor Debbie. It is not a fee. If you don’t have the funds, it’s okay. We will provide you with transportation.    
Through the grant, until the funds are expended, we will continue to offer quick reimbursement for one round trip per month valued up to $100 using Uber, Lyft or cabs if you provide us with a receipt. We may be able to offer additional reimbursement when we determine the total use for the month, so continue to send us all your receipts.   
For your convenience and due to the overwhelming response, starting Monday, July 1, we request you call Lyft, Uber or the cab company directly rather than go through Society.
