League of Women Voters Hosts Webinar for Voters with Disabilities
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM via ZOOM  
To help voters with disabilities cast a ballot, the League is sponsoring a statewide Zoom webinar.   This webinar will focus on general Missouri voting information as well as information of specific interest to voters with disabilities. Time permitting, plain language descriptions of the ballot measures on the Nov. 5 election will be presented. After the presentation, there will be a question-and-answer session. The Zoom webinar will have an ASL interpreter and captioner from MT & Associates.

It can be a challenge to apply makeup when you are visually impaired. Treva Patton will join us to help us learn how to overcome those obstacles and apply make up with confidence.   We kindly ask if you can make a $5 donation (or as much as you can afford) to cover the supplies (which you will take home to continue to use)!

THE PEER SUPPORT GROUP IS BACK STARTING THE SECOND THURSDAY IN OCTOBER!  
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM  
Are you looking for answers on how to get through the transition of losing your eye sight? Come to our new Peer Support Group where we grapple with topics like: how do I learn to find new creative ways to adapt to my sight loss? How do I keep my joy in the process of transition? How do I help my family and loved ones understand my sight issues more clearly? And other topics you suggest.  

Judy Redlich, will spearhead this support group. She is visually impaired, held management positions in the work place all of her life, is a tv/radio talk show host, public speaker, and certified life coach. Judy is the voice of our Society Activity Line: 314-301-7310. Together, find solutions. This group is not for whiners and complainers.   Working alongside Judy will be Rebecca Tussey, who will handle the Admin side of the group.   Peer Support Group meets the 2nd Tuesday every month.
